50 Years of BNCHA – Growing Stronger Together
2026 marks a very special milestone for Belgrave Neighbourhood Co-operative Housing Association. As we celebrate our 50th anniversary, we are also beginning an exciting new chapter, having become a fully independent housing co-operative on 1st July 2026.
For 50 years, BNCHA has been firmly rooted in the Belgrave community. From our beginnings in 1976, we have grown to become the largest fully mutual housing co-operative in England, while remaining true to the co-operative values on which BNCHA was founded.
At the heart of BNCHA are our tenant members and our community. Our Committee and staff work together as one BNCHA team, bringing a wealth of experience, local knowledge and a shared commitment to providing quality, affordable homes and delivering effective, tenant-focused services.
As an independent co-operative, we remain committed to listening to our members, continuously improving our services, providing value for money and ensuring that BNCHA remains strong and sustainable for future generations.
We are incredibly proud of what BNCHA has achieved over the past 50 years… and equally excited about what comes next.
